The High Peak 40 Mile Challenge was started in 1986 as a one-off event. It proved so popular that it has continued every year since. This is a very challenging event for walkers and runners. It takes a circular route from Buxton via the Goyt Valley, Mam Tor and Tideswell Dale. Over 100 runners and walkers take part in hp40 every year. Download a copy of the entry form here.
